EC launches consultation on review of NIS security directive

The European Commission has announced the launch of a public consultation on the revision of the Directive on security of network and information systems (the NIS Directive). The current Directive entered into force in 2016 and the EC wants to gather opinions on its implementation and the impact of potential future changes in view of developments in the cyber-threat landscape.
