EC says net neutrality proposal to go ahead

The European Commission will present the details of the telecom single-market reform package on 12 September, a day later than originally expected. The legislation was approved by the College of Commissioners without amendment, according to a statement from the office of Digital Agenda commissioner Neelie Kroes. Earlier reports had suggested that other EC departments or lobby groups were pressuring Kroes to change some of her plans, especially the proposal for introducing 'net neutrality' rules.
