EC survey finds wide support for ePrivacy measures

A large majority of EU citizens consider the privacy of their personal information, their online communications and their online behaviour very important and think industry should take certain measures to support this, according to a Eurobarometer survey. The survey was commissioned by the European Commission as part of the ongoing review of the ePrivacy directive, which lays specific data and consumer protection rules for the electronic communications sector.
