Econet to launch Ecocash in South Africa in October

Zimbabwean operator Econet is set to launch its Ecocash remittance service from South Africa in early October after receiving approval from that country's authorities. Econet said it has partnered with South African company Flash Mobile Vending, a subsidiary of retail giant Pepkor. Its mobile vending service is used by more than 60,000 informal sector small business shop owners throughout South Africa, The Source reported.
