ECTA calls for end to regulatory holidays for fibre

The European Competitive Telecommunication Association has reiterated its support for open-access fibre networks, after the publication of an industry report on how to achieve the EU's broadband targets. The ECTA said it welcomed the ambitious targets set by Information Society commissioner Neelie Kroes and her initiative to bring industry together to discuss how to achieve these goals. Kroes asked the industry in March to come with recommendations on how to meet the targets.
