ECTA calls for EU co-investment regulatory proposal to be scrapped

European alternative operators have warned that the EU is at risk of undermining competition in the telecom sector with the latest compromise proposal for the Electronic Communications Code. The ECTA, the lobby group representing altnets, sent an open letter to the EU institutions, saying that if the code is approved in its current version, this will be "overall significantly worse for competitive market functioning, and ultimately will harm end-users, compared to the current EU regulatory framework."
