ECTA criticises ECC rapporteur's stance on competition

Friday 24 March 2017 | 12:38 CET | News
The ECTA has criticised the proposed amendments on wholesale network access to the Electronic Communications Code by the European Parliament Rapporteur, saying they do not put enough emphasis on competition. The association of alternative operators said it was glad to see the parliamentary report endorsing the European Commission's policy goals of expanding access to and take-up of very high-capacity networks. However, ECTA said it was concerned by the fact that "competition seems to have been forgotten along the way" in the detailed amendments put forward by the Parliament Rapporteur.
