ECTA criticizes EC proposal on wholesale pricing

The EU's alternative operators have accused the European Commission of giving a "regulatory holiday" to incumbent operators rolling out fibre networks and maintaining high prices for wholesale access to copper networks. The ECTA, the lobby group for alternative operators, was responding to commissioner Neelie Kroes' proposal to allow more flexible pricing for wholesale access to next-generation networks and not cut prices for access to copper networks.
