Ecuador's GolTV awarded 10-year football rights

A commission made of the 24 clubs of Ecuador's first and second-tier divisions has unanimously voted to award the rights to air live football games over the next 10 years to broadcaster GolTV. The network was initially awarded the rights last year but the contract was temporarily suspended due to alleged irregularities during the negotiations following complaints from rivals Directv, Fox Sports and Teleamazonas.
