Ecuador's Netlife and PuntoNet top fixed network speed ranking in 2018

Wednesday 6 March 2019 | 15:44 CET | News
Ecuadorian operators PuntoNet and Netlife posted by far the fastest fixed internet download speeds in the country between January and December 2018, according to nearly 230,000 tests conducted by nPerf. Netlife achieved an average download speed of 15.29 Mbps, followed by PuntoNet with 15.16 Mbps thanks in part to their newly-deployed fibre-optic networks. Both finished ahead of Claro with average speeds of 12.26 Mbps while market leader CNT lagged well behind with 5.70 Mbps.
