EDPS to probe use of AWS and Microsoft cloud services following 'Schrems II' ruling

The European Data Protection Supervisor, which helps coordinate EU policy on data protection, said it has launched an investigation into the use of cloud services provided by Amazon Web Services and Microsoft following last year's "Schrems II" judgment on the transfer of Europeans' personal data to the US. The EDPS said it will also probe the use of Microsoft Office 365 by the European Commission.
