UK operator EE has agreed a deal to acquire bankrupt retail chain Phone 4u's Life Mobile MVNO business for less than GBP 5 million, a person close to the talks told the Financial Times. He added that EE has not decided whether to keep the Life Mobile brand in the future. Life Mobile, which uses the EE network, has been operating for a year and has around 85,000 customers. Other companies that have been rumoured to be seeking to buy the MVNO included TalkTalk and Argos. EE would not comment on the matter.
