EE to challenge Ofcom's mobile spectrum cap

Monday 21 August 2017 | 10:25 CET | News
BT Group subsidiary EE is set to threaten Ofcom with legal action over the planned mobile spectrum auction, reports Reuters. An EE spokesperson said that it would send a Letter Before Action to Ofcom on 21 August challenging the regulator's decision to limit the amount of spectrum it could win in the 3.4 GHz 5G auction. EE insisted that it was not looking to delay the auction, adding that it accepted it was excluded from the 2.3 GHz 4G auction and urged Ofcom to continue without its participation.
