EFTA opens anti-trust probe against Telenor Norway

The EFTA Surveillance Authority said it has opened formal antitrust proceedings against Telenor Norway and its parent company Telenor ASA to investigate whether they may have infringed the competition rules in the EEA Agreement. ESA will examine whether Telenor has charged prices resulting in an illegal margin squeeze on its competitors in the provision of retail mobile data services and of bundles of retail mobile telecoms services.
