Egyptian smartphone market shrinks 6% in Q1 amid Covid-19 crisis

Egypt's smartphone market suffered one of the smallest declines in the whole Middle East and North Africa region in Q1, according to International Data Corporation (IDC). Shipments to the country fell 6.3 percent quarter on quarter (QoQ) in Q1 2020 to 2.82 million units, making up 75.0 percent of overall mobile phone shipments for the quarter.
