CentreGold, games publisher and distributor, may be acquired by Eidos, computer games software group, in a recommended share-swap offer valuing the lossmaking CentreGold at over GBP17 mil. Eidos also plans a 12-for-25 rights issue to raise around GBP23.8 mil for refinancing of CentreGold's debts and extra working capital. Eidos posted a loss in 1995 of GBP1.45 mil on a turnover of GBP1.8 mil. CentreGold's current release schedule includes 22 new games for the Sony Playstation, Sega Saturn and PCs with CD-ROM.
