Loop Mobile and Videocon have not applied to participate in the auction, which will offer spectrum in the 900 and 1,800 MHz bands. Loop Mobile's managing director Sandip Basu said the company is instead looking to extend its licence, the Economic Times reports. The company was earlier keen to bid for 900 MHz spectrum in Delhi and to acquire an additional 2 MHz spectrum in Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. However, Loop now says it has decided not to participate in the auction but has filed an application for a licence extension with TDSAT.
