Eight possible investors for Oi - report

Brazilian operator Oi, which is in judicial bankruptcy proceedings, is being eyed by eight groups of foreign investors, which have been discussing the future of the company with the government since May, reports Valor Economico. Currently, the negotiations are at the most advanced stage with Egyptian businessman Naguib Sawiris, according to government sources. The group that will end up with control of the operator will also have to take over the debts. Among the eight interested investors in Oi are Russian and American companies, as well as those from other countries.
