Elisa ties up with Elektrobit, Digia for mobile security

Finnish operator Elisa said it has signed a letter of intent with Elektrobit (EB) and Digia concerning service planning and implementation of national security requirements for encrypted mobile communications. EB will be responsible for smartphone and web traffic protection, Digia for voice and message encryption and a back-end system, and Elisa for the production of a complete high security service. The aim is to ensure that a comprehensive service can be implemented entirely using domestic resources, and at short notice.
