Emblaze files patent infringement suit against Microsoft

Emblaze announced it has filed a complaint for patent infringement against Microsoft asserting that Microsoft's IIS Smooth Streaming system infringes Emblaze's US patent No. 6,389,473 for media streaming technology. Microsoft has been using this technology to allow devices running on Windows 7 OS and Windows Phone 7 OS (and above) to view live streaming media content and to provide the Windows Azure Media services.
