EMEA wearable shipments grow 55% in Q3, boosted by both basic and smart devices - IDC

Wearable shipments in EMEA lifted 55 percent in the third quarter compared to the year before, going to 6.6 million units, according to the latest data from IDC. For 2022, shipments are expected to reach 43.8 million units, and a total market value of USD 11 billion. Smart wearables, particularly smartwatches, will account for most of the market in 2022, while basic wearables will still have pockets of growth potential in some product types, namely earwear and clothing.
