Encore readies for Verizon's deployment of LTE category M1

Encore Networks partnered with Verizon and Sequans to develop a CAT M1 LTE router designed for low-cost mobile connectivity of IoT devices requiring low power consumption and using low bandwidth. The news follows Verizon's September announcement saying that it wants to become the first US operator to commercially launch LTE Category M1 services (CAT M1) in late 2016. EN M-Class routers will support Verizon's LTE network and will use Sequans' Monarch LTE chip for narrowband IoT applications.
