Enel, CDP to jointly manage Italy's Metroweb - report

Milan-based broadband provider Metroweb will be managed via a new company set up by the end of July and jointly controlled by utility giant Enel and state lender Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), reports Il Messaggero. Although recent reports have indicated that Italian infrastructure fund F2i has decided to sell its 54 percent stake in Metroweb to Enel's EOF (Enel Open Fiber) unit, the exclusive talks between Enel and F2i are set to be extended beyond the current 03 July deadline. If F2i's CEO Renato Ravanelli decides not to take part in the new company, Enel and CDP intend to find another
