Enel CEO 'not interested' in TIM-Open Fiber network tie-up

Monday 4 September 2017 | 11:28 CET | News
The chief executive of Italian utility giant Enel has again ruled out talks of a possible merger between the company's Open Fiber infrastructure business and that of Telecom Italia (TIM). "We are not interested in talking about it (the possibility of a single network company), it is not an exciting topic for us," said Enel CEO Francesco Starace at the sidelines of a conference, according to Reuters, before adding that "we are very busy connecting Italy and that is the mission of Open Fiber."
