Enel-F2i exclusive talks over Metroweb to end on 03 July

Friday 10 June 2016 | 08:25 CET | News
Italian utility giant Enel has confirmed the start of exclusive negotiations with infrastructure fund F2i over the takeover of the latter's 54 percent stake in broadband provider Metroweb. Enel is looking to finalise an agreement that will help its newly-created Enel Open Fiber (EOF) venture roll out a high-speed broadband network all over Italy, while F2i hopes to receive a stake in EOF in return. The exclusive talks period is set to conclude on 03 July, said Enel.
