ENISA sets up Wannacry ransomware taskforce

The EU's Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA) has announced that a dedicated taskforce has been set up with member states to mitigate the effects of the multiple variants of the WannaCry ransomware that have been spreading globally since 12 May. Experts from ENISA and the member states are currently following the standard operating procedures that the EU developed for attacks of this nature in what is the first ever case of cyber cooperation at a European level.
