Enterprise awareness for cyber attacks increases - study

The issues of policy management, bring-your-own device and staff training show room for improvement in terms of security, according to a recent study on cyber security conducted by German anti-malware solutions producer G Data. Over a third (36%) of companies questioned for the study have been victims of cyber attacks this year, which constitutes an increase of 5 percent compared to last year. Operational down-time and interruptions occurred most frequently (83%). The companies' awareness for security has increased since 2013; 76 percent consider attacks to be likely (63% in 2013).
