EPC welcomes Italian antitrust probe into Google ad business

The European Publishers Council (EPC) said it welcomes the investigation into Google's alleged abuse of its dominant position in the display advertising market launched by Italy's antitrust authority AGCM. In a statement, the EPC said Google is dominant on both the buy side and the sell side of advertising and, through its unrivalled position and data colonisation, is able to leverage the system to its own advantage.
