EQT, Stonepeak abandon plans for KPN takeover bid - report

EQT and Stonepeak Partners have shelved their plans for a takeover bid for Dutch operator KPN, local paper FD reported, citing people close to the bid plans. KPN rejected an initial approach, and the investors have decided it will not be possible to acquire the company without the cooperation of its management and supervisory boards.
