Wednesday 18 November 2020 | 12:20 CET | News
Equinix has connected its SP3 data centre in Sao Paulo to a new cable connecting the Pacific and Atlantic coasts of South America deployed by IPTP Networks. The 4,300-kilometre line runs from Lima to Sao Paolo, connecting Peru, Bolivia and Brazil and providing a latency of just 29 milliseconds, said the partners, according to BN News Americas. IPTP Networks has a global backbone connected through 226 data centres, with Latin American points of presence in Lima, La Paz, Fortaleza and now Sao Paolo.
