Equinix to open SY5 IBX in Sydney in Q3

Equinix has opened an International Business Exchange (IBX) data center in Sydney, to be named SY5. Equinix plans to invest around AUD 160 million in the first phase of the South Sydney facility. The SY5 is scheduled for launch in the third quarter of 2019 and will offer an initial capacity of 1,825 cabinets.
