ERDF, partners launch electric vehicle charging project

French power grid operator ERDF and seven partners have launched the BienVEnu project for electric vehicle charging in apartment blocks to meet the needs of housing managers and residents in the 'smart city'. The 3-year, EUR 10 million project is backed by the French agency for environment and energy control (Ademe) under the 'Investments for the Future' programme and by the Ile-de-France region. Its partners are CentraleSupelec, G2Mobility, MOPeasy, Nexans, Park'N'Plug, Tetragora and Trialog. Charging facilities will be deployed in three pilot buildings during the first year, then seven more
