Ericsson awarded USD 135 mln Millicom LatAm network upgrade deal

Emerging markets telecommunications group Millicom, owner of Tigo-branded operations across Latin America, said it will be investing USD 135 million over the next two to three years to upgrade its mobile network in partnership with Ericsson in Honduras, Paraguay and Bolivia. Millicom said partnering with Ericsson will enable it to boost capacity by modernising its networks with LTE and 5G-ready technology.
