Ericsson boosts indoor coverage, trebles uplink speed

Ericsson has announced Ericsson Networks Software 16A, featuring a new suite of LTE software upgrades targeting the indoor space, a key requirement for enterprise customers. The new software will feature advances in network uplink and downlink performance, boosting them by up to 200 percent and 30 percent respectively, a benefit to consumers' appetite for bandwidth-hungry video. The new software release also adds LTE Unlicensed (LTE-U). Devices that support these advances become available this year, in line with commercial availability of the Ericsson Networks Furthermore the software now
