Ericsson demos carrier aggregation, 5G concepts at MWC

Ericsson plans to show some of its latest research at the Mobile World Congress, including ideas on 5G systems and a complete global network operations centre. The 5G demonstration will focus on applications in the 'networked society, such as extreme mobile broadband for local access and higher service level "everywhere". This will include new types of usage, mainly machine-type communication. The showpiece Global Network Operations Center features eight LCD displays forming a 7x2m video wall of live feeds from Ericsson's centres in Romania, India and Mexico.
