Ericsson, Intel and Telstra hold 5G demo for gamers in Australia

Ericsson, Intel and Telstra held a demonstration during Australia's Gold Coast gaming event to show the advantages brought by 5G technology to gamers and e-sports. The demonstration conducted during the event held at Telstra's 5G Innovation Centre showed the ways in which 5G's ultra-low latency and high throughput can deliver greater efficiency and mobility across numerous uses. The demonstration returned data transfer (latency) rates of five-to-six milliseconds, about four times lower than current average 4G latency speeds, as professional Australian gamers The Chiefs experienced pro gaming
