Ericsson invites partners to try 5G live tests

Ericsson has started live testing 5G networks in Stockholm and in Plano, Texas, and is inviting mobile operators, eco-system partners, tech media and analysts to come and try them. The company said while 5G is expected to become commercially available around 2020, it already has live indoor and outdoor 5G test networks in Sweden and the US. The network is expected to address IoT and Internet of Skills applications and respond to the proliferation of smartphones.
