Ericsson joins Stockholm smart home research project

Ericsson said it is working with on a smart home trial project in Stockholm with ABB, Electrolux, Ellevio, Fortum, the city council and the Swedish Energy Agency. It said 155 families are moving into smart flats in Stockholm Royal Seaport, where they will be able to monitor and control their energy use live. The goal is to develop smart grids for better use of renewable energy sources and to develop homes where residents can influence their energy consumption.
