Ericsson, Liberty Global sign LatAm DVR deal

Ericsson has announced a two-year deal to expand the DVR (digital video recording) service offered by the operators VTR in Chile and Cablevision in Puerto Rico, both part of Liberty Global Latin America and Caribbean ("LiLAC Group"). Under the terms of the contract, the operators will use Ericsson's Video Storage and Processing Platform (VSPP) to enhance their catch-up TV and restart TV offerings as they seek to support the trend towards time-shifted viewing.
