Ericsson opens broadcast, media service centre outside Paris

Ericsson has inaugurated the Mediadome, a new broadcast and media services facility in Boulogne-Billancourt, a suburb of Paris. The 3,000 sq mt TV facility houses the offices of broadcaster Canal Plus overseas, and centre handles production, post-production and distribution of 30 TV channels, as well as non-linear, on-demand services. Ericsson's new centre is part of its strategy to grow its business in France to support the ongoing transformation of the broadcast and media services industry, with media content now available on TVs, smartphones, tablets and desktop computers.
