Ericsson sues Reliance Communications over unpaid bills

Ericsson is taking Indian operator Reliance Communications to court for unpaid bills. RCom confirmed the lawsuits, which cover a total INR 4.944 billion claimed by the equipment vendor. 

Ericsson has also filed similar petitions against Reliance Infratel and Reliance Telecom, subsidiaries of the company, for recovery of INR 5.347 billion and INR 1.293 billion. 

The National Company Law Tribunal in Mumbai heard the case 13 September and adjourned the matter to 26 September, Reliance said. The company intends to challenge the petitions from Ericsson.
