Ericsson ties up with Sigma Connectivity and Mobilaris for wearable IoT device for workplace safety

Ericsson said it is working with Sigma Connectivity and Mobilaris to develop workforce safety using 5G, with applications for industries such as mining and manufacturing. It said its latest cellular IoT design has been applied to a Mobilaris 5G-ready device to provide proximity triggers and collision alerts using sensors, monitoring and live positioning of people, vehicles and moving assets.
