Ericsson upgrades Orange networks to LTE

Ericsson is installing its RBS 6000 multi-standard 2G/3G/4G radio base station as it transforms Orange France's 2G/3G networks in Greater Paris, the Southwest and Northeast regions of France. Ericsson is the operator's sole vendor for LTE deployment in the 800MHz and 2.6GHz bands in the three areas. The upgrade began in June 2012 and the equipment provider is committed to Orange achieving its LTE rollout goals this year, said Ericsson France head Franck Bouetard.
