Ericsson, ZTE drop patent licence issues
ZTE signed a royalty-bearing licence agreement to certain Ericsson patents. In April 2011, Ericsson filed lawsuits in Germany, the UK and Italy against ZTE for infringing on several Ericsson patents related to GSM and 3G/UMTS mobile technology. The parties have signed a global cross-licensing agreement and both parties have also agreed to drop all litigation. ZTE signed a licensing agreement that complies with Fair, Reasonable and Non- Discriminatory (FRAND) royalty compensation for access to part of Ericsson's patent portfolio.

Huawei sues ZTE over patent infringement

Huawei said it has filed lawsuits in Germany, France and Hungary against ZTE for patent and trademark infringement. The company accused ZTE of infringing a series of Huawei's patents relating to data card and LTE technologies and illegally used a Huawei-registered trademark on some of its data card products. ZTE sues Ericsson in China over patent infringement

ZTE filed a lawsuit in China against a unit of Ericsson over alleged patent infringement, said Wang Haibo, ZTE's intellectual property director. Ericsson earlier this month filed patent-infringement lawsuits against ZTE in the UK, Italy and Germany. Ericsson files patent infringement suit against ZTE

ZTE has received legal papers stating that Ericsson has filed lawsuits against ZTE over handset patent infringement in the UK.
