Estonian operators brace for Huawei ban as govt prepares 5G security rules

The Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications is preparing a regulation that would allow the restriction of high-risk suppliers in telecoms networks, a move which could bar Huawei, for instance, from constructing Estonia's 5G network. The entry into force of the security regulations is a precondition for moving forward with the 5G spectrum auction, public broadcaster ERR reports.
