Etisalat and Parallel Wireless partner to implement Open RAN in Afghanistan

Parallel Wireless has announced a partnership with Etisalat to deliver cloud-native O-RAN-compliant 5G, 4G, 3G and 2G Open RAN, in collaboration with Intel and Supermicro. It becomes the first company in Central Asia to implement Open RAN. Etisalat aims to construct and expand wireless networks to provide next-generation digital services to customers in the region.
