ETSI, Eurosmart sign security-focused cooperation agreement

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Eurosmart, a Brussels-based industry association of European digital security providers. Under the terms of cooperation agreement, ETSI and Eurosmart have pledged to identify experts working on similar issues within their respective working bodies with a view to establishing a bridge between EU legislative and political initiatives, on the one hand, and standardisation mandates and activities, on the other. According to Eurosmart estimates, more than 9 billion secure element units will be
