ETSI group starts work on IPv6 integration and deployment

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) has announced that its recently created Industry Specification Group on IPv6 held its first meeting on 22-23 April, focusing on the integration of the IPv6 protocol into the next generation of mobile telecommunications, 5G systems. The current president of the IPv6 Forum, Latif Ladid, was elected as chairman of the group and HP's Yanick Pouffary and Cisco's Patrick Wetterwald were elected as vice-chairmen. ETSI said the group was created to address IPv4 address exhaustion and enable new internet services with improved end to end
