ETSI, NGMN strengthen ties to meet 5G challenge

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and the NGMN Alliance have signed a new agreement to intensify their joint cooperation beyond the existing Memorandum of Understanding framework. The two organisations have already worked together for several years in areas such as LTE, Open Radio equipment Interface (ORI) and the Multi-SDO initiative on network management. The new cooperation agreement is designed to improve the dialogue and exchange of information, as well as providing a mechanism for exchanging draft documents and referencing the specifications of each
