ETSI still undecided on mobile patents injunctive relief

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute has yet to resolve its stance on injunctive relief in court cases alleging infringement of standards-essential patents. The ETSI said in a statement that the issue was discussed again by its Special Committee on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR SC) at its meeting in May in Germany. The meeting was attended by 75 ETSI members, as well as representatives of competition and patent regulators from the EU, US and Korea and the GSM Association, China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) and the International Telecommunication Union. The
